The PhD programme funded bythe German Research Foundation is administered by the Technical UniversityMunich and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in close cooperationwith Moscow State University. The main scientific goal is to combinecomputational and experimental approaches to achieve a qualitativelynew level of understanding of cellular regulatory systems and theirevolution, with a spezial emphasis on signaling networks. Specific areasof investigation include comparative genomics of metabolic and regulatorysystems, network-based interpretation of transcriptome and proteomedata, and posttranscriptional regulation mechanisms.
